The kitchen fires at 5 AM. Volunteers chop, cook, and serve. Shopkeepers sponsor. Grandmothers supervise. By 11 AM, 200 people have eaten. The ritual has not stopped once in 47 years.

Deepam Oil — One Month
Keeps the brass lamps lit for all 30 days of the month. Three lighting sessions daily.
Flower Garlands — Festival Week
Fresh jasmine and marigold garlands for the main deity and the processional idol for seven days.
Prasadam — One Saturday
Ingredients for the prasadam prepared after the Saturday archana — rice, jaggery, ghee, coconut.
Nadaswaram — Festival Day
Sponsor the nadaswaram and tavil musicians for one festival morning — a sound that carries three streets.
Cleaning Supplies — One Month
Camphor, incense, cleaning materials for the daily floor and lamp cleaning by volunteers.
Gopuram Restoration — One Panel
Sponsor one stucco panel on the Rajagopuram restoration. Your name is inscribed in the dedication board.
